CHRISTAMS PRESENT FROM THE MUSEUM – ONLINE PREMIERE OF THE HISTORICAL MOVIE ABOUT HEROIC FIGHTER PILOT WŁADYSŁAW GNYŚ

We hereby present You a motion picture “First one cannot be forgotten! Fighter pilot Władysław Gnyś”, which premiere show took place in our Museum. It has been produced by our institution, and its executive producer was Wytwórnia Filmów i Widowisk Historycznych VIS. This documentary movie tells the story of the first downing of German aircraft during the Second World War, which took place on 1 September 1939 near a Polish town of Żurada and it was achieved by a true Hero – Colonel Władysław Gnyś. It is also a tale of a man of flesh and blood. We learn about him from a story told by his family members – mainly his sons Stefan and Ashley.

The motion picture is being released three months after its premiere show in our Polish Air Force Museum. Since then we have prepared the English language version. We strongly believe that this story is worth promoting to make “Hero from Sarnów” fly around the World and promote such values as nobility, diligence and indomitable pursuit of good goals. “The first one cannot be forgotten!…”

The Polish Air Force Museum in Dęblin would like to thank Mr. John Bindon for his illustrations in Stefan Gnyś’s book, which were used in our motion picture.
